New Blogspot Role

Well, it is quite clear now that with my website going Live, my blogspot has to progress.

Hopefully the Website is easy enough to navigate through, I think it look better as well. I just have to correct this minor mistake on its loading process.

My blogspot will be like a complete journal now, and hopefully it will help me update my real Studio journal, once I decide to start it and update it that is. This time I Will Post Ideas, Thing that Bother me, Influences, Development work and of course The Final Pieces.

Am I through?

The above is "double faced" piece.
I think the general Idea is focused on
what is happening if I pass through the border.
A play between the
"Where Am I?", "Where Am I Heading?" and "Wher have I Been?".
This by also trying to challenge
the traditional way of hanging a Painting,
as this piece is suspended mid-air
instead of being "traditionally" up on a wall.

CtrlAltDel + Esc

The above paintings are part of a diptych.
With them, I want to express
the feeling of escapism we create
when we are in our routine.
Our desire to
escape from the gloom that surround us,
to something different.
From our Monday Morning Log-in sequence to Escape.

Borders, Filters and Panels on Perspective (studies)

The images above
are unfinished studies
for the CtrlAltDel + Esc upcoming diptych.
I got Lost.
Exploring different possibilities
just opened even more,
now I'm trying to narrow
them down and create
a final study
which should be as close to
the final piece as possible.

Trend View

It always amazed me,
how people tend to look all through the same border at the same time,
like it did not exist before that.
Even more amazing is the fact that by doing that, they all think its better.

YOU DID NOT MAKE IT BETTER
BY PUTTING A COUPLE OF ENERGY SAVING LIGHT BULBS IN YOUR HOUSE.
STOP PRETENDING
YOU DON'T REALLY CARE

This is a piece created as a bi-piece,
while I was studying the borders on perspective.
Then I had some raw materials lying around in my room,
That I had never used before and I thought It
would Be good to experiment with that and test the materials.

Missing Element

Which is the "Missing Element"?
That is the key to the Purpose.

Any translations to the meaning?

Ladders on Boxes (studies)

The above images are studies
for the "Missing Element" painting.
I tried to see how different color combinations
and ways to apply paint work,
in order to create a vastly different feeling
and aesthetical result.
Hopping,
that these would give my the right amount of knowledge
and experience to approach
the final image as smoothly as possible.

Images of the Not so Conscious

The Images below were created following a suggestion from my tutor
Rebbecca Partridge.
They Mainly show what is permanently in my mind,
I tried not to think while I was creating them and
I had no visual reference at all.
I just let it flow within me and
tried to depict part of my subconscious.

A SunSet

A simple Sunset, again created as an exercise project.
OK, I admit the clouds are off.
Although It reminds me of something,
I don't know what.

A Bunch of Flowers

This is a piece with
decoration purposes,
again created form
photograph.

No Real reason for creating it,
just exercising. That is why
I've twiked the petals
of the flower a bit.

Urban Garbage

Again this is a Mixed Media piece.
Named it "Urban Garbage"
and although it had no real connection
to do with the "Urban Spaces" project,
I feel that it Is the Spiritual continuity
of the "Fragmented Deterioration" piece.
Created mid-2008.

Through this piece , I tried to
explore the Misrepresentation of
space and Object, their usability
and how we tend to Ignore this.

Fragmented Deterioration

This is a Mixed Media piece,
created for a project in Uni called
"Urban Spaces". I named it
"Fragmented Deterioration",
and it was created at the
beginning of  2008.

Generally I'm trying to represent
the philosophy behind a space,
its evolution through time and
usability and sociologically how
the psychology of the masses
affect a space, accelerating each
stage of its lifespan.

Anticipating a Dream

This is probably the first Idea that I had , it was when I started realising who I am and how the world move around me. It is called "Anticipating a Dream" and I am not going to give out (easily at least) what I am trying to communicate with it . At the end of the day is what you can find it it that matters. I started it on 2002,left it for a couple of years, and finished it on 2005. It's one of my first attempt to use oil paint. Unfortunately it doesn't transfer very well on this photograph,sorry...
